Nathan Hukill

Managing Partner, Piedmont Evergreen

Nathan Hukill is the Managing Partner at Piedmont Evergreen. His primary role is as an advisor to CRG while in Puerto Rico. He is a member of CRG’s Founders Group and CRG’s ESG Committee.

Mr. Hukill oversees all aspects of the investment process, including investment sourcing, due diligence, portfolio construction, and portfolio management. He also oversees investor relations, including fundraising, reporting, and limited partner relationship management. CRG’s accounting, finance, compliance, and legal teams also report to Mr. Hukill.

Mr. Hukill joined CRG in 2009 to implement investment strategies he had uncovered while beginning his investment career at Salomon Smith Barney, where he managed a portfolio of approximately $800 million, and Highland Capital Management, where he invested and managed approximately $4.5 billion of healthcare credit assets. From January 2018 to the present, Mr. Hukill serves CRG as an advisor from Puerto Rico-based Piedmont Evergreen.

Mr. Hukill graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude, from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. He received an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia in 2005. Mr. Hukill is a former professional cyclist and an owner of the National Champion Pescadores del Plata de Comerío AA Baseball Team.

Nitzali Vega

Operations Manager

Nitzali Vega brings more than a decade of experience helping leaders turn complex priorities into focused, well-run work. Since joining Piedmont Evergreen in December 2025, she has partnered closely with the firm’s principals, bringing calm, discretion, and careful follow-through to a wide range of executive and personal initiatives.

Her work sits at the intersection of the firm’s daily operations and its investment activity. Nitzali supports sourcing, due diligence, and investment realization, while helping ensure that the details behind each engagement are handled with care. She also contributes across essential back-office functions and serves as a thoughtful point of contact for limited partners and portfolio companies.

Before Piedmont Evergreen, Nitzali built leadership experience across strategy, logistics, and sales—roles that shaped her practical, relationship-led approach to solving problems. A graduate of Universidad del Turabo with a background in Business Administration, she is fluent in Spanish and English and brings a steady, people-first perspective to the work of building lasting partnerships.
